A Little About My Background (and The Credible Bits)
Hi there, I’m Prairie.
My family and I live in Lake Hāwea - in our opinion, one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Before Evolve, I founded and ran The Body Garage, a Pilates, yoga, and wellness studio built around an incredible community and intelligent movement.
A couple of years after my daughter was born, I sold the studio. At the time, it felt like a big decision. In hindsight, it made space for what came next.
Not long after, our family was met with a season that asked everything of me. My daughter faced a rare illness, and I stepped fully into my role as her mother. There was no space for anything else, nor would I have wanted there to be.
Now, three years on, life feels different. There is more space again.
Quietly, and in the background - and often as a way to stay anchored - I continued learning. I deepened my work, expanded my understanding, and began personally walking the path of perimenopause.
That lived experience, alongside years of professional practice, is what shapes the way I work now.
I feel ready to support women again - in a way that is more considered, more integrated, and more honest than ever before.
The Credible Bits
Over the years, I’ve trained extensively in:
Soft Manual Therapy
Myofascial Release
Pilates, Yoga, Strength Training & Functional Movement
Lifestyle Coaching
Nutrition for Perimenopause & Menopause
Growth Mindset principles
Hot / Cold Therapies & RED/NIR Light Therapies
I’ve spent years working at the intersection of bodywork, movement, and women’s health - not as trends, but as integrated systems.
What matters to me isn’t collecting certifications. It’s knowing how to apply them in real life, with real women.
about evolve
I’m not here to build a social media empire.
I’m here to help build strong women.
The kind who can deadlift their bodyweight, regulate their nervous system, nourish their bones, laugh at the mood swing, and still show up for the people they love.
The kind who know that menopause isn’t a breakdown - it’s a biological upgrade that requires better information, better support, and a little more self-trust than we were ever taught to have.
I’m in the ‘pause too.
Which means I’m not teaching this from a textbook alone. I’m living it.
I know what it feels like when sleep shifts.
When energy waivers.
When you suddenly don’t recognise yourself - and then slowly begin to meet a version of you that’s wiser, clearer, and far less interested in tolerating nonsense.
There’s no perfect preparation for the rollercoaster of perimenopause. You can read the books (I have). You can study the science (I do). But until you ride it, you don’t truly understand it.
So I approach this season with curiosity.
With adaptability.
And with a healthy dose of humour.
Because if we can’t laugh at the chaos occasionally, what are we even doing?
why i do this
Because I’m here for me.
And I’m here for you.
I’m here for the woman who wants science and soul.
Who wants structure but not rigidity.
Who wants to feel strong in her body and steady in her mind.
We don’t need to navigate this alone.
We don’t need to outsource our wisdom.
We can do this together.
Curious.
Capable.
Light-hearted.
And rising.
If this feels like your kind of conversation, your kind of vibe, your kind of work - I’d love to welcome you.
